Hey! I'm Charity, the person behind the lens of Charity Clark Photography. I'm married to my love of five years and i'm the mumma of two incredible little girls! Photography is truly my dream job. Meeting new clients and creating a relationship that establishes a genuine connection is the absolute highlight of what I do.
Since i was a kid, i've always stood out from the crowd and didn't flow with the mainstream idea of what or how things should be. Call me original, authentic, a rebel... well, perhaps not a rebel! (but hey, if the shoe fits!) I am just a girl who walks to the beat of her own drum, follows her heart and creates art. I love the people and things that inspire me and get those super, amazing creative juices flowing. I love to challenge myself through my work and love adventurous/out of the box sessions that drive me explore out of my comfort zone. Here is a short blurb about how i got to where I am, as a photographer. Enjoy!
When I was very young, I would visit my grandparents’ home in Bridgton, Maine every week. My nana had many photo albums of our family. Every single visit, i'd open her closet, climb up to the top shelf and pull those albums out and look through them. I was drawn to them like a moth to a flame. Cheesy? but true... The albums were filled of ancestors from many years before me and I would daydream what life was like in these moments captured in time. They were also filled with happy family and childhood moments that always made me smile. The photos ignited a passion in me and inspired me in a way that I felt compelled to create these moments for others.
It wasn’t until I was a teenager that I was finally given my very own camera. I was never taught, no schooling of any kind. I just loved it as a hobby and it became a passion. I was told over and over I had an eye for this art and should do more with my talent. I took what knowledge I had and created a profession in photography about 10 years ago.
A photographer’s evolution is ongoing and I'm always striving to be better, learn more and continue to the set the bar high. I always want my work to challenge me. It's what keeps it exciting and new. It is my hope that I can give my clients the same "feels" and moments just as I had, where one photo can be smiled at, cried over, and loved by many, forever.
Eleanor Roosevelt said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." My dream is simple: to have a continually growing, successful business so I can be present at home, creating memories with my amazing family and raise my beautiful girls, Jolee and Jett.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about me. I truly look forward to working with you! Enjoy viewing my work and please contact me with any questions.
